In 2025, the Australian Smart Communities Association (ASCA) and the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) are proud to be collaboratively working together to promote the opportunity for delegates from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands (ANZPAC) to attend this yearβs Smart Cities Expo World Congress.
ASCA is calling for start-ups, entrepreneurs, local government practitioners, SMEs, academics, government decision makers, and industry leaders to represent ANZPAC this November.
20 free all-access passes worth $2,000 each are up for grabs. The trip offers participants the opportunity to showcase their work, connect with city leaders and build strong professional networks.

Code of Conduct
Purpose
To ensure all delegates represent partner organisations with professionalism, respect, and courtesy throughout the trip, selected participants must read, sign and abide by the member Code of Conduct as representatives of an official delegation for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
Criteria & Conditions
PROMOTION CRITERIA
Promotion Closes at 11:59 PM AEST on Tuesday 30 September 2025.
Act fast β passes are limited and filling quickly! Nominate yourself or a standout colleague to join this exciting journey.
Recipients will be selected by the participating associations at their sole discretion and based on applications that meet the eligibility criteria.
For eligible applicants, passes will be allocated on a first come, first served basis every few weeks β giving successful applicants plenty of time to lock in their travel plans.
Recipients will be notified via the contact details provided in the application process.
SELECTION Criteria
Applicants must be a valid member of ASCA, IPWEA or IPWEA Aotearoa. Not a member yet? Join as the ASCA member network today.
Applicants must have the ability, willingness and any required approvals to travel to Barcelona for the duration of the event.
Recipients of the all access passes are solely responsible for all other costs of their participation in this event including but not limited to air travel, ground transport, accommodation, meals, incidental expenses and travel insurance.
