Connecting Smart Vehicle Data to Better Transport Outcomes
Improving transport, mobility and active travel is a core opportunity in the transition to smart communities. Connected vehicles provide a highly valuable source of data, not just on transport systems, but also on behaviour and how people engage with cities and places.
In our next ASCA webinar our host, Dr Nathaniel Bavinton, will be joined by Brett Williams from the City of Onkaparinga, and Prue Olsen, specialist in active travel infrastructure planning and design, on the use of connected vehicles data to understand traffic information such as speeds, near misses and travel times to guide transport planning and management.
They will discuss how these technologies have been used in real projects to generate insights and positive outcomes related to improved safety, optimising traffic flow and more data-informed resource allocation.
